It is that time again when we go visit the RAP music vault and bring forth value to your ears that you haven’t explored in a while. That’s what’s up is slang that simply means you are getting great approval for your material or any form of work that you are producing. Now it isn’t just parlance but a dope throwback tune that shook up the industry in the continent, the amazing Zeus from Botswana featured a legend Stogie T (Formerly known as Tumi) and AKA the leader of Megamites on a tune called DatsWasUp.

Zeus hits the ground running with his verse as he paints vivid imagery with a banging pen game and braggadocio is the common theme on this joint, the fancy lines are blended with the boom bap beat and the flow doesn’t let Zeus down. The real smoke still saturates the atmosphere as word jujitsu moves to land every punch line with perspicuous precision. This jam is still an earthquake for clubs and grimy Hip Hop sessions. Tumi then showcases why he is a formidable wordsmith with his verse that is a skyscraper with labyrinth passages, to be honest, there are true levels to this rhyming craftsmanship. He is a monster that is always “On song and on form” hence most emcees co-sign the beast and the wordplay in his verse is out of this world, you could perhaps locate it in other planets. AKA actually raps on this verse to a point where he is a contender for the guy that eradicated the track. He dishes out smoke in a hardcore way and still articulate to the point where every punch line reaches the target with ease. “Now everything I do is under the spotlight/ You can never be the new kid on the block twice” with nothing to prove yet the irony is after climbing the ladder to gun for the top spot he has got something to lose. To each his or her own and with that being said, whoever you think bodied the track did well to deliver what you prefer when it comes to effectively using figures of speech.

This is a certified classic and the song is only seven years old, now DasWasUp!!!!!!
